The nose featured stone fruits, green apples, very ripe banana, honey melon, white flowers and oyster.
Full bodied, good structure, quite oily, almond essence on the long-ish finish. With time the palate became more classical, less oily and with growing refinement.
At the very end of the night I liked it quite a lot, would be happy to try again once mature.

tasted at the domaine; 60% barrel; riper than the Bougerots; big orchard fruits and floral notes; very powerful and wound up; probably the most dense of the bunch, but maintains very nice acidity and freshness; this needs plenty of time, but should be quite excellent

French white wine from Chablis: Chardonnay. 13 % alcohol. 60 - 70 % of the harvest is vinified in oak barrels with an average age of 6 years, the rest is vinified in small stainless steel vats. Aged for 14 - 15 months, partly in oak barrels for 5 - 6 months on fine lees, and then in small stainless steel vats.
Decanted for 2,5 hours prior to drinking and then stored in the decanter during the night.
Light golden color.
Delicate and crisp aromas of brioche, lemon, green apple, white flowers, honey, wet stones and minerals. Round and powerful flavors of lemon, peach, brioche, honey, yogurt, greens apples, green herbs, white flowers and minerals.
Dry. Full body. Fresh acidity. Perfect balance. Excellent structure. Very good complexity. Very powerful. Intense. Rather elegant.
Very long finish with lemon, honey and yoghurt.
An excellent Chablis Grand Cru and a very fine example of Les Clos with minerality, power, concentration and structure as hallmarks: “le plus grand, le plus puissant, le plus mineral”. The wine improves substantially with air and performs best at fridge temperature. Surprisingly accessible compared to many other Chablis Grand Crus and will age beautifully. 97/100

During a 2020 Burg walkabout tasting, so only brief impressions. The vintage showed very well indeed for both reds and whites. The reds were dense, fresh with good structure like the 2016, the whites pure with good fruit core similar to 2019 and definitely more refined than the plush 2018. TN: Not a Fevre fan and this confirms it. Very grassy and light, hard work, a bit unripe?

Chablis Domain Visits-Louis Michel, Pinson, and William Fèvre (Chablis, France): Yellow. Lower pitched citrus here. Powerful entry with a juicy citrus core that gives way to a deep, earthy finish. This has size, power, class, and welcome back end austerity which bodes well for its ageworthiness. Will it turn out to be better than the Preuses though?

Oh, hello.
Drying and stony meets a light touch of lemon-pear.
This may be too cold to appreciate properly. I should probably have another glass…or three.
