Fresh, red fruit, a light kirsch which is nice here. Pomegranate (probably a little VA). Pineapple juice, pina colada. Exotic. Entertaining. Needs time to calm.

extremely deep color, ruby to purple rim. on the nose, earthy and slighty rustic classic bordeaux aromas of cab and merlot. on the palate high acids, moderate midpalate depth, tannins are integrating and present, moderate alcohol. wine has balance, good length, very good intensity. there is finesse, a really fine tecture, excellent expression of place. this bottle felt a bit more evolved than the last one... certainly in the drinking window with a couple hours in the decanter. very nice wine.
