Nose: red fruits, spices, strawberry, fresh rose petals Notes: supposedly the first vintage solely managed and made by Charles Lachaux. Honestly I've had a couple of his negoce and never liked it but I always thought the Domaine wines were a different animal. Ver1y pure and clean palate with a long lasting aftertaste. 2017s are indeed excellent drinks that can be approached early. This wine is excellent and the palate is both bubbly and lively, one could however argue that complexity is lacking from this wine but it is still quite delicious. Although this seems quite ready but I do see benefits for aging it a couple more years. Drink: 2028+ Rating: 92

NSG night at Duomo: Identifiably vosne-like. Stemmy goodness here along with orange peel, spices, high toned red fruits, strawberries and wild cherries come to mind, with upfront concentration and viscousity. Earthy undertones, touch of oak and mulberries underline the palate whilst delivering a silky yet intense mouthfeel. Only critic was that with air it got a bit ferrous and fruit became a bit burly - needs time for sure but a nice showing today.

A pretty, high toned rendition of NSG. The nose still has a bit of oak to integrate, but the palate is already silk. In 3-5 years this will be a stunner.

Another excellent wine from Lachaux; the nose is lifted and floral with high toned fruit and orange peel; a bit of sauvage and earth; the palate has a lovely elegant feel and yet delivers very good intensity. Long finish. Should age gracefully.

Super impressed. Amazing energy. Almost effervescent. Pure red fruit and spice against a mineral back drop. Better than the 2018.
