Medium garnet color, cherry, raspberry nose with hints of stone fruit. Medium-full bodied mouth feel; low acidity, soft dusty tannins, raspberry, smoke and hints of stone on the palate with a moderate length charred cedar finish.

Very pleasant, moderately oaky wine with more complexity and interest than one would expect for the price. This was my second bottle in a year. It seems to be a reliable, good value wine.

Lots of oak at first, but it blows off after an hour or so. Nose has cherries, cranberries, some spice. Generous fruit on palate, structure is ok, but is a little flabby. Finishes with a little tannin action and dried cherries. Pretty decent value.

Color: black cherry, not entirely opaque. Nose: cassis and cream. Taste: mashup of a boston cream donut on the attack, followed by increasing spicy gamey notes and black cherry/plum/cassis notes. Decent length (although fruit fades before oak). The varietals are interesting, Cab Sauv 35%, Petit Verdot 24%, Cab Franc 23%, Merlot 13%, Malbec 5%. Is Texas going to be a petit verdot hot spot??? Anyways, a little too much oak for my taste and a little disjointed, but good complexity and good length for a $13 bottle of wine. Will be interesting to follow this as it matures.
