1992 vintage has a bad reputation, but this producer made a fantastic wine that drinks well today - we were pleasantly surprised. A good amount of sediment. Decanted just for sediment and began drinking immediately. On the nose: smells like a light version of port but balanced. Color is brown garnet; fully mature. On palate, light to medium bodied. Short finish but still fantastic.

Obviously it past its peak long time ago. There's no room for objection. But It is still elegant and beautiful. clove, leather, dried rose petals, smoke, forest, pepper. but not good QPR it is also obvious.

A terminer.

Loads of pleasure - mature but developed very well during dinner. Very elegant

Bienvenue a Champagne; 4/20/2023-4/29/2023 (Les Crayeres, various restaurants, Les Avises and a many wonderful producers): I agree with the last note - this is a producer that makes great wine in every vintage and this vintage was no different. The classic Cheval slightly herbal style which I really love. Perhaps a bit lower on the fruit side but there was still some there. It was intoxicating. Great wine.
