Classic Eden Estate Chard. These just don't follow the same aging curve as other Chards. Lean in feel yet powerfully fruited yet. A nice sweet fruited quality down in the center with a bittering quality on the outskirts. Clearly some notes of maturity but is it on the upside or downswing? Hard to say. Incredibly underrated wine. Lets hope it stays that way.

Very similar to a recent bottle of the 2000, only slightly fatter and richer, with less acid--not unbalanced, just a different expression. Still a nicely mature bottle of CA Chardonnay.

Gold color, nose initially reticent, but opening up to pure, ripe apricot - through to the finish. Over time, honey and creme brulee emerged. Beautifully balanced as well. Reminiscent of a well aged grand cru white Burgundy, a real surprise, and a treat.

Over the hill, but not horrifically so. Probably at a peak 5 years ago. Now limited nose and mostly golden caramel toffee and oak flavors remaining on the palate. But still it's enjoyable and such a great aged white wine especially for a new world experience. This is probably the second or third best winery making chard in the states, so it's a lucky day to slurp one of these down.
