A meaty, earthy nose, but has a fair dose of the 2004 greenness, which turns almost minty. Palate is tough and chewy, with some underlying red/black fruit, and fairly dry, astringent tannins, and a green quality which matches the nose. Hard to say where this goes from here, but I'm not too hopeful.

A correct wine, not a great one. The good news is that there is no more bitterness.

Nice aroma, but a short astringent finish. I doubt it will go anywhere great.

Good, not great, not at the level this wine was in 00, 01, or 02.
Well balanced, soft, rather long, but lacks the velvet comlexity of the better vintages.

Not quite the overt green quality of the previous bottle, but still, this is no charmer. Thin palate, astringent, drink up.
