Drank first within a 95-97 vertical during a Cantonese lunch at Jade Palace. Opened 20 minutes before lunch, kept chilled but not overly so. Drinking very well and a real testament to the excellent stretch of vintages during the 90’s. Still some fine bead, very classy on the palate. Some rated this the best of the 3 tasted.

The Jug is done fooling around (Suite 100): What a surprise that there seems to be so little interest in this wine. This wine was opened on its sweet spot for my taste. Still fresh and bright, but with just the beginning of some of the aging qualities of champagne. A little yeast on the nose along with the apples. A real tasty champagne. 91-92

Creamy, yeasty nose of great refinement. The palate is thick-textured, soft and smooth, with fine bead and tremendous persistence. Seemed quite low in acid – but always fresh. Quality stuff. On a cold night was wonderfully warming – and surely would cool in summer too.

Drinking really youthful at this point still. Not showing the aged character yet but drinking nicely.
