Saffron, quince, dried apricot, caramel and a spearmint element that adds freshness. A nicely creamy texture with still fresh acidity and a saffron aftertaste. A nicely aged Nairac.

Golden color. expressive nose with honey, apricot, smoke, nice complexity. Very rich on the palate, as usual too much for me who prefers moelleux to liquoreux. Score hire if you can handle this level of sweetness.

50mm natural cork enclosure. Pale brown (call it Cognac) in colour. Notes of fudge, toffee, orange, floral, marmalade and zest. Pronounced on the palate with medium body and acidity. Lovely balance and length. This would probably keep a while longer, if you like tertiary notes. I suspect that some of the fruit has been damaged by light-strike given that it had been sitting on a retailers shelf and exposed to ambient light for ages before being bought by me.

Served by a friend to accompany passion fruit and mango tart. When poured, this looks fresh and defies its 26 years age. Brandy colour. Orange, butterscotch and treacle on the nose. More of the same on the sumptuous palate. Long.

This was glorious. Quite dark gold colour; masses of botrytis on the nose. Barley sugar, grilled pineapple and lemon juice on the palate gave it a glorious lift. Long super-clean finish. An absolute star, drinking at its very best right now.
