  • Clearly not the same league as current releases yet still very good. Rather light with some honey

  • This wine was a knock out! In great condition, the nose was awesome - heaps of layers , with caramel, undergrowth and a hint of farmyard. it was a complete sensory experience on the nose, and the age certainly adde much depth to the wine. in the mouth, the wine was great too - though perhaps not quite so compelling. it was rich, ripe and juicy (no sign of drying out) and the flavours echoed many of the complexities of the nose. if i had a quibble , it was that perhaps it could have been a little more persistant in the mouth, but I am not complaining. a stunning wine.
