Garnet. Decanted for 6 hours. Complexity for days. Leather, must, cloves, stone nose. Red fruit, developed tannins, mineral, Carmel, lingering. Beautiful

Orange around the rim, showing some age. Incredibly complex, layered nose. Starting with bright red cherries, raspberry, and a sense of wild flowers, turning to oregano, old leather and tobacco leaf. Palate is serious and civilised but not mean - black cherry and plum, some wild strawberry with smooth but earthy tannins and long, sweet balsamic glaze and herbal finish. Fantastic Brunello. Bravi Giuseppe and Elisa Sesti!

This was brilliant. It was perhaps fruitier than most Brunellos I've had, which tend to be dry and to the point. Certainly as a 2008 wine, it had lost none of its youthful fruit. I suppose a wine drinker looking for that precision of other Brunellos would find it lacking somewhat here. However, while not inexpensive, this was more enjoyable than Brunellos I've had that cost more. I have some Sesti of other vintages and I'm looking forward to trying them. All in all, a delicious wine. It went beautifully with a marinated and grilled pork loin.

These were stupendous again. Just a lovely civilised Brunello at peak - the table loved them.
