Delicious Brunello. Lots of life left - it tasted very fresh for a 2010 vintage wine. It is more relaxed and enjoyable to drink than some Brunellos that seem almost too sharp and defined. This could pass for a high-quality Rosso di Montalcino. I agree with others that it has a softer tone. However, over time the more refined and precise Brunello qualities show forth. As always seems to be the case with Brunellos, leaving the wine alone to breathe for a good 2-3 hours (or more) is a good idea. The best glass was the last, when the wine was in full bloom.

Tuscany at Terra Rossa (Terra Rossa): A warm and bright although relatively shy nose. More excitement on the palate, with plenty of energy, nice poise between sweet and sour, some savoury interest and good length. I liked this wine's vibrancy, but it could have been even better with greater depth of flavour. Group #3 tonight.

Good weight without being heavy
Savoury lift, ripe dark cherries and alcohol infused plums
Balanced - everything in check
Bravo

Quite elegant. Dry but fruit present and some rich backnotes. Black cherry with hints of leather

Best showing by a long shot thus far. Beautiful nose, like perfumed and open. Soft on the palate. A wonderful wine
