Earth and herbs on the nose, with some dark cherry fruit in there. Just opened and the palate is harmonious but tight, very long finish, still tight. LEt's see how it opens up.

this needed some air to really show up, but came together nicely, woody, floral aromas give way to flavors of blackberries, dried cherries, tobacco and earth, pretty traditional and very nuanced, this is not a Brunello that blows one away with fireworks, it is one that whispers poetically and balances upon the palate, really nice with sausage lasagna

Dark brick color that has some orange tints on the rim. Clear with high viscosity. On the nose aromas of meats upfront, spice, mushroom, tobacco and earth with well integrated wood notes throughout. Dried cherry, cranberry, dried red currants and strawberry mix with scents of black tea, potpourri, tobacco and dried flowers. The full bodied palate reveals medium-plus acid and tannins. Flavors are more fresh on the palate with cherry, pomegranate, currant, cranberry and strawberry flavors that sit well on the palate. Non fruit flavors of game meats, wood, tobacco, with plenty of herbs and a subtle spice.

Oh my God! Fresh cherries, funky barnyard and black raspberries with a smooth silky mouthfeel made this a rare treat!! Wish I had another.
