Dry and elegant. The perfect foil for massive ribeyes on Easter. Limited nose on opening, this wine opened its charm offensive about an hour in. Cedar and a touch of leather underscored fine, but grippy tannings. Red fruits of cherry and dark berry, a touch astringent rather than fresh but in an elegant, I'm made to pair with a steak kind of way.
Nice balance of dried fruits and tannins. Terrific with a grilled ribeye for a summer meal. Not huge power, just right in the middle of the target for a brunello.

Drank at Wine Club with lamb ragu, a good match. Double decanted 3 hours before. Deep red colour. Nose of cherry and red fruit. Palate quite long. The tannins are a little prominent, but it’s a silky smooth wine. All enjoyed it. I have a little left to try today, may be even better. I think should definitely develop over next 5-10 years and look forward to trying again.

C2/V3. Nice balance but missing true depth. Botanist in Vancouver.
