  • Good vintage acid, missing on the fruit a bit. 90

  • nose: meaty and filling nose of charr smoke, smoked meats, black cherry, brown sugar, along with hints of floral tones and rosemary

taste: muscular with meaty tannins and tart acidity providing tones of black cherries, smoked meats, smoke, brown sugar, and bits of sour raspberries with perfumes also starting to evolve in the glass

overall: an outstanding medium bodied burg that continues to evolve in the glass and keep you on your toes. More muscular in style and far from refined or delicate with interesting herbal characteristics that come through and nice tart acidity with a plump black cherry attack and brown sugar finish. There's still room for this to grow as it still feels rather primary, but there is some real fun in this bottle
