The last 18 months have been transformative for the wine, and looking back at my last note, I have to stand corrected. It has actually developed further, but I do feel now that it is in its prime, and it probably has a limited peak drinking window. The taste profile is as per previous notes, but it has now shrugged off the tannic after burn on the finish. It is a little simplistic on the palate, but older age forgives a lot with a good Bordeaux. An hour in the decanter is perfectly adequate.

(Troplong Mondot) Beautiful nose of flowers, cocoa, candied red fruits, fancy French oak, minerals, graphite, Very complex aromatics. There is a purity to the nose. Extremely concentrated on the palate with crystalline like purity and clarity. Long long finish. Sweet fruit and ripe tannins seal the deal. Awesome mouthfeel and a slow-mounting finish. Will last a while. Killer.

Mature bordeaux at the end of its drinking life. Still enjoyable, but I hope my last bottle has a bit more fruit left.

A real crowd pleaser. Quite youthful.

Good wine with a tasty, mature flavor profile but fading energy. Drink now.
