I have struggled to find Italian whites that stack up against the best whites of Burgundy or Bordeaux, but this is one. I don't get as much of the floral at this point in it's age, but the pitted fruit fleshiness (apricot, peach) without the overt fruit flavors. It also shows the stoniness of the soil and has plenty of acidity to keep it fresh all they way through. But not the citrus elements that came through on a bottle I drank too young. Based on several experiences, I think this is worth the wait and has been on a good place for a couple of years and should be for a few more.

A Good Tuesday, Vol IV: Italians ('07 Valentini, '15 Emidio Pep, '04 Giacosa Barbaresco, 86: Has a nose that speaks faintly of white Burgundy, but with air and oxidative, wild-herbal note comes on. Initially, it feels pretty tight, but there is clearly a lot life. Waxy, white fruit. With air, it just totally pops and was awesome about an hour after opening. Singular wine, there is texture, and fragrance that comes in and out and waves and plenty of lift left to the palate. Terrific and glad to have more as it seems there is no rush on these.

A Lost Weekend In NH; 6/16/2022-6/20/2022 (Lake Wentworth): Showed a more funky, earthy, oxidative note. Cloudy yellow. Almond nutty. Young. Needs air. Herbal. long finish. Complex, but perhaps too esoteric in some ways tonight.
