EWS: A Study of Sangiovese with Ian D'Agata: Fleshy and extracted wine, though a little hot and acidic. Tangy red berries, tea. More advanced than either '90 or '98, yet still tannic.

CAV old wines tasting (Brussels): From Magnum. Dark red almost black in the middle. Initially closed down. Still has some tannins left. Very powerful, it has it all fruit and acidity to go. Will surely develop further for another 5-10 years.

Sherry, leather, tobacco, clay. Still high acidity and drinking well.

This Magnum of ‘85 Fontalloro was spectacular! A legendary candidate for this iconic producer.
Packed with ripe, sweet fruit and a mouthfeel I can’t quite resist only to identify as “sexual chocolate”
The acid, the tannins, the fruit - everything in perfect harmony. This was a sensual wine experience.
