Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • No decant. Small amount of sediment in the punt after being stored upright in cellar for the past year. Poured cleanly. Strawberry red color with full transparency. Hint of brick at the rim. Initial bottle stink blows off to show tea, strawberry, and spice notes. Palate starts out with iron, blood, beef stock, and vitamin elements. Over time, this expands to include strawberry and sous bois. The finish is medium. This was pleasant and met expectations. A nice old Burgundy but not a transcendent experience. Drink.
