Tasted and scored blind. Wonderful nose of earth and red fruits. Nice, medium acidity and tannin. Perhaps a hint of VA and somewhat simple fresh red fruit on the palate, with perceptible oak on the finish.
Called burgundy from a later and better vintage. Sadly I think this wine, while very tasty, is showing the lack of depth and complexity that some say characterize the vintage.

Decanted: 1 Hour (needs at least 1 more hour). Cork broke at 1/3 level. No issue to extract with simple cork screw. Dark garnet with slight violet hue on the rim. First impression: Nose of dried tobacco, subdued strawberry jam (hinting at more...which showed nicely after 30 mins), pressed cherries. Heated strawberry-cherry compote on the palate. Watery, somewhat tannic and slight brett, hinting at needing further time to settle. Later impressions: Port and concentrated cooked strawberry on the nose. More pointed cooked cherry with strawberry back notes, slight chocolate and burnt caramel, richer and medium-long finish. Very pleasant, rich and round. No rush, but drinking well. Surely till 2030+!

At dinner so notes limited. PnP it was amazing, 30 minutes in outstanding. Nose of quintessential Burgundy with smoke and blood. Fruit was muted and opened into dark cherries with vanilla and mocha notes. Silky smooth mouth feel with flavors sustained through a medium length finish. Seems to be in a good drinking window. Sorry nothing more. Beautiful wine.

Good nose. Classic burgundy — red fruits and quite acidic. But lacking depth or length. Not bad but a bit disappointing for a Grand Cru.
