  Wine of the night for me at the Wine Watch 1985 horizontal tasting of 6 red Burgundies, all poured and repoured side by side in separate glasses over several hours. Fruit, acid, and tannin were not just balanced, but at a high level of concentration and richness, that coated the mouth with a wonderfully caressing feel and texture plus a supremely delicious taste, all crowned by the seamless integration that only patiently aged wines seem to achieve.
