  Anniversaire du Baron (Le Serpent): Nez champignons et crème brûlée
  Bouche un peu tendre (pas de sucre, mais au niveau tension), élégante, avec une texture aérienne. Très agréable, mais pas très complexe pour ce crû d’un grand producteur. Les autres ont davantage apprécié. 90 pts

  @ Manhatta NYC. Paler color than I expected. No sign of premox, very mineral and balanced, rich mouthfeel that is more Chevalier-like perhaps due to vintage. A nice drinking window now.

  Same source as the last two and mostly comparable. More like November 2022 than May note. At least this is perfectly clean and does not have any undue oxidization. Fresh and clean with some development and age on the fruit, but again, not inappropriately advanced. Some of that struck match and reduced tropical fruit. Ripe pineapple. Well balanced, still has some zippy acid around the fat yellow fruit. Quite big and showy. Still very happy with these, thrilled with any bottle of Leflaive from this era that is clean. Drink now.

  Pausing for the Cause Fundraiser and Dinner (Obelix - Chicago IL): Bright color. Floral and spiced with apples and pears everywhere. Vibrant throughout with a long, nearly unctuous finish and exceptional Grand Cru density. Even better than the previous bottle I tasted earlier this year. My Wine of the Night.

  Wow. Super clean color. Great nose, balance and finish. Just an outstanding glass of wine and this was over 30 min in the glass. Sadly, my last btl. Drink and enjoy. Great to drink with great fiends.
