Double decanted. Not nearly as perfumed as the 76 Charmes I opened two years ago, but good cherry fruit, acidity and minerality on the palate with decent grip. Nose is very much so muted, perhaps due to the ripe vintage. 91-92

lovely complex, rather floral fruit in nose is more delicate than Mazy. subtle, refined flavour, a bit acid. An extremely pretty wine with a soft, beguiling finish

Klar, dyp rød med mildt brunskjær. Først noe støvete, men med luft dyp, lett sursøt nese, med mild kirsebærlikør, skogbunn, noe brente toner og innslag av tranebær. Slank, transparent frukt med god intensitet. Fremdeles godt med frukt. Frisk syre. Saftig utgang, med milde, støvete tanniner. Svakt bitter og noe sursøt utgang med hint av mint og noen brente toner. Fin lengde.

A wine that is a function of a hot year. Notes of dried fig, honey, cinnamon, scorched earth and confiture. There are some funky meaty notes and volatility that lightly burns the nostrils. It is a bit stewy.

The acidity is not enough, but the tannins have been well integrated with the wine. but overall, it's flat.
