Opened another bottle of this tonight and wanted to provide a quick update to my TN from December 2019.
With about an hour of air the wine is still gorgeous with lovely punchy fruit, a velvety feel and a fine long finish. However, tonight the magnificent aromatics were a bit more subdued suggesting that while this has not shut down entirely- it has shut down sufficiently to give me pause about opening another for 5-8 years, especially given the current replacement value.
Still a beauty with a great future ahead- but I would suggest holding off at present as the honeymoon phase has ended.

Bu au restaurant. Magnifique vin, très puissant avec énormément de matière mais loin de pouvoir exprimer son potentiel. A attendre au moins 4-6 ans idéalement.

SLDS Single Bottle Dinner: Really pretty nose - violet florals and open red and black fruits but also has more earthy character with iron and spice. Palate is pretty plush and showy right now, sweet fruited with a mineral core to it. Bright and crisp. Superbly delicious, possibly the best young Rousseau Clos de la Roche I've had.

rich purple color, intoxicating nose of black plums, bing cherries, tan pebbles, limestone and liniment, on the palate beautiful punchy dark berry fruit with baking spices, rich and decadent on the mid-palate with plenty of tannins and leading into a very long finish with a sweet lingering fragrance, even by Rousseau standards this is a superb Clos de la Roche, we were lucky to see it showing so beautifully- if history holds true this will shut down hard soon and emerge in a magnificent state after many years in the cellar.

Acker 2019/10 (Bouley): Very concentrated unlike young Pinot and needs much more time. 92+
