Hard to get better than this in the N Rhone, or really anywhere. Fragrant nose of red fruits and herbs and a super-complex palate of red and dark fruits, and lots of savory goodness. Silky texture. Still young and textured, this is probably 10-15 years from peak.

Houston Northern Rhone Blowout: Dark and brooding but highly aromatic, one of the most layered wines of the night. This was decanted and I think that was a good choice. Wild fruits with some eucalyptus note. Plush with some slight florals but low in the pepper/spice category to my palate. Would love to linger with this one all night.

Allemand v Chave Los Angeles edition: Wow. Maybe the best syrah i've had in 2023. It's so etheral in its fruit presence with wonderful acidity and a fine line of the sweetest delicate red fruit. The mouthfeel of the wine is so svelte and beautiful. THe nose is filled with that same fresh picked cherry note that just effortlessly rises out of the glass. My goodness that was good.
Wow, this is great! So much precision here — an incredibly powerful wine that is so elegant and light on its feet. Phenomenal balance, beautiful aromatics, this really has it all. I actually thought this was showing best right after opening and served around my cellar temp of 57 degrees. As it warmed and opened up a bit, it started to shut down a little.

Veldig innbydende.
Stor vin.
