  Sixteenth Annual White Truffle Dinner (Inovasi - Lake Bluff IL): In 85/86/01 vertical. Dense and ripe apple and peach with savory spice, followed by a bright backbone with lots of acidity. This had the most intensity of savory character in the vertical, but was less harmonious vs the 1985. More people preferred this '86 but I leaned toward the '85.

  White Truffle Dinner: 83/86/01. This was a step down from the gorgeous 1983 served in the same flight. Complex nose has moderate intensity -- mature fruit with smoke notes. Palate is still lively with good acidic punch.

So much here with impressive depth. As good as another bottle from the same source enjoyed three years ago. The only bad thing I could say is that the 1983 was better.

  A peine ouverte la bouteille était prête, robe jaune or paille, nez légèrement pétrolé avec des notes d'agrumes, fruits et de champignons frais. Magnifique équilibre en bouche.
