This is supposed to be one of the best dry rieslings in the world and it did not disappoint. Tropical, floral nose and attack on the palate with a super long finish of pineapple and minerals. This seemed a little tight and would be better in several more years. 95/100 for now?

An electric Wine! At first, it bursts of yellow stone fruit, mature apricot and kumquat, lime, bergamot and Meyer lemons, cest and pith. Then an intriguing smokeyness with some petrol. Very layered and complex, powerful and long length. High acidity, integrated high alcohol. Of course, this is way too young to drink now, hold for decades. I am glad I have more of the 15’ in my cellar!

A very atypical in our view CSH and in a way what we would have expected from a 2003. 14.5% alc , rich and with a very open nose. Lacked the precision and the focus we so much expected and felt like the lost control of the ripeness here. A pretty wine for sure and very much enjoyable but not of the level we excepted. 92 out of respect

Wine gathering at RJ's; 4/4/2023-4/7/2023 (South Carolina): Intense golden color. Expressive nose displaying sweet yellow fruit with a hint of white, yellow and white peaches, lemon curd, apple, candied ginger, saline, light caramel, pine needle, honey, sweet and spicy spices and crushed rocks. Excellent concentration, layers upon layers of succulent sweet yellow fruit, dense and rich yet also perfectly precise and detailed, bright acidity, strong mineral, and a long concentrated yellow fruit driven finish with limestone and flower at the end. While the concentrated fruit hints at sweetness, the finish is bone dry.

Vintage and Vine Grand Cru Riesling tasting (Bentley Bar & Restaurant, Sydney): From magnum. Medium minus intensity aromas of earth and little else; quite a closed nose. Palate rich but a little clumsy after the Geisberg. Perhaps this bottle is slightly out of condition? Meh.
