  Started off muted, medicinal and sweaty, but opened up nicely over the course of the evening. Needed that air so bad. Strawberries and some bright cherry fruits, building up to a bitter and spicy finish, this is lesser than the Beaumonts 2007 and Suchots 2010 today, but still makes an interesting pour.

  VR vs CM good producers (Shin Terrior): Some funky initially which went away with air, good lift on the nose, whiff of stems, dark fruits, hint of violet, palate is beautiful rounded, touch of mint with lively focus acid with silk soft tannins. Palate more enjoyable than the nose at this stage.

  Vosne / Chambolle 1ers from good producers theme: More approachable than the 2014 RSV I had previously but this was still a powerful, tight rendition of Suchots from this producer. Spice with blue and black fruit, an immense structure combined with a silky texture. Thought this was more potential than pleasure today.

  PNP. Red cherry, spice and some oak char on the nose. The palate is lush, fleshy, generous, almost grapey in its texture, with deep red cherry flavors and some drying tannins on the long finish.
