Gaglioppo, wow. What a great wine. If you have not tasted this yet, you must buy. It's really amazing that this is coming to America, but take advantage, because it's quality is exceptional. Cheap for the quality. Big fruit of raspberry and dust, trail, musk of fungus, but the palate was clean and deep with lots of energy. The reviews here with no finish are wrong. There's a spice that goes on with rind of fruit and some herbs and a touch of garrigue. It's really a good wine. It's real. No new oak. I love it.

I love the description of oven-baked cheesecake, which does sum it up. It's very light, nice sipping wine or keep with light food, otherwise the wine will be totally overpowered.

The nose is best described as an oven-baked cheesecake - notes of biscuit, raspberry, yoghurt, sweet cherry and sweet spices. Now mind you, I was excited to try this wine after this nose and truly believed that it was going to be something spectacular. The palate was dry with medium acidity/alcohol/tannins, but bitterness and Brett creates irrevirsability, masking every single fruit tone that once probably existed in this wine. To top everything here, it lacks an aftertaste which was the only true hope.

Sorprendente, alla cieca avrei detto Pinot Nero. Elegante ma allo stesso tempo potente con i 14,5 gradi che non si sentono. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.
