  • Very pale brick red in the glass. Tart cherry and cassis, some light tobacco notes, and decently grippy tannins on the finish. I think aging helped this bottle along as it was very mellow while still being well structured.

  • This is a stunning wine, particularly for the price. It shows a 'different' taste profile from typical Italian wines from say Tuscany or Puglia. It's quite acidic, which probably accounts for why it does so well with every food I tried it with over three days, and has good grip. Very light in color, similar to Pinot Noir, it showed strawberries, raspberries, a volcanic soil element, teas of all kinds, high quality uncracked peppercorns, and Mediterranean cooking herbs. Great finish!

  • I liked this wine. I am not sure that I would add to my cellar but would order at a restaurant. Light cherry with herbal hints and good acidity.
