drank with val, bob (jahlove) and selma at dino's in dc and i loved it. val and i liked it more than bob, but, oh well, jahlove has his weaknesses. nose showed some funk at the start, but that blew off quickly. the color was lighter purple than i remember it. two years of age has really smoothed this baby out. smoke on the nose, with rich cherries. full-bodied with strong, grippy tannins. the fruit is plush, but by no means goopy. great fig paste and mocha flavors, laced with earth and dust. the finish is smooth and firm. very nice wine. this would be amazing with burgers and a strong cheese. 100% gaglioppo from calabria. not something to sneeze at. gaglioppo's kicking some ass tonight.

purple colored with medium+ viscosity. smokey nose with black cherries and some cinnamon. full-bodied, solid weight, and very complex on the palate. 100% gaglioppo from calabria, this wine has sour cherries, earth, fig, tobacco and dark chocolate flavors. nice, toasty finish. oak is perfectly integrated. very unique wine. would go very well with musroom dishes or venison.
