Italian Wine Scholar Class at the Texas Wine School. 100% Gaglioppo. Med garnet. The nose is clean, med to med+, with red cherry, raspberry, roses/violets, dried herbs and some tertiary aromas of tobacco. No oak, all stainless and concrete. Dry, but balanced by nice, spicy fruit. Med+ acidity and tannins, med+ to high alcohol (14%). Well-balanced, with a med to med (+) finish and flavor intensity. It is drinking well now and for the next several years. Another very interesting, balanced and food-friendly wine by Librandi. A great value at $19.00.
