Compared to the '08, '12 and '15 enjoyed this night, it was clearly the least enjoyable of the bunch. It wasn't flawed but perhaps slightly advanced showing more stewed fruits than the others. I love verticals but they can really showcase a dud as was the case here.

Luis goes to Cahill Bistro: Drank a small glass over an hour. The nose is gorgeous with violets, tart cherry and bright raspberry. The palate has quite a lot of acid, gravelly red fruit and leather. This is a lively wine and was better with food.

Another Great Luis Tasting! (Cahill Bistro): Was not familiar with this wine or producer, but what a pleasant surprise! A very nice, elegant wine! I believe it was PnP, but not 100% sure about that treatment. The wine was sweet and tart at the same time. Plenty of red fruit, but some dark fruit (blackberry or elderberry) as well, coupled with earth, tobacco and hints of spice, with dusty tannins and nice acidity. Delicious! 93+ to 94 points....another stellar wine!

Fragrant, sweet and dark wine. Worked with spicy Asian food.
