Excellent+ Drinks so beautifully and purely with great aromatics from Coravin and then continues to drink well over a couple more nights with more and more air. It more relaxes out than unfold, because it never felt tight to begin with. There's this dark cherry, and macerated dark fruits, really ripe and at the same time joined by bright cherry, plum, and brandied fruits (but not boozy). You can see why this producer gained a following as its difficult to pack this much dense, ripe fruit from a tannic grape into a package with zest and energy that doesn't tire the palate.

I'm going to try to hold off on the other bottle until at least 2027 as I think this develops really nice tertiary notes. But who knows...

Drinking much better now than the Pipparello and even older years of Cerrete. Damp wood, caramel, ripe plums, black cherry, cassis, twigs and menthol. No sours notes like other offerings. These likely peak in the next 2-3 years for my taste.

Fantastic young sagrantino that deserves a long, long decant. Nose full of macerated black currants, dried fig, violets, sweet leather, fennel, tar, subtle wet stones, and burnt star anise. Palate is dense, as one would expect with the grape, but not overpowering. Burly tannins met with a nice complement of acid.

This was absolutely singing last night. Needed a good decant, but, with that, it was firing on all cylinders.
