The wine is whole. The only thing missing (and also, I'm not sure) is the long ageing potential (I evaluate it up till 2020 top).
We drank it for almost 2 hours. It was beautiful when we corked it, and the color, aroma and flavor was synchronized.
The good part was that it gotten better and better with time.
The wine looks Ruby colored. It smells like Strawberry, Forest floor, and Mineral. It tastes like Strawberry, Black currant (cassis), Red Currant, Mineral, and Forest floor. The body is Medium. The wine has Round texture. The wine finishes Long.
After drinking lots and lots of burgundy's top pinot from all over Cot d'Or I can objectively say this wine goes hand in hand with the grand cru's.

20080201: With Hal, John McCoy and Ann, with rack of lamb marinated with green onions, garlic, thyme, olive oil and balsamic, stone ground mustard; grilled on Big Green Egg. Also opened Davis Bynum'04. Mondavi was better: more cherry and other red fruit.
