  At first glance this has an off putting, dusty, cement basement nose and while it doesn't completely clear up with air, the palate shines throughout. Broad and savoury, lean texture, no tannin, but very nice acidity, there's a mature sweetness underpinning everything. Woodsy, autumnal, cranberry, blood are a few of the descriptors I jotted down. A lovely experience that made some believers.
