  Dark brownish purple. Unfortunately this wine is on it's last leg. At least five years past it's peak. Barnyard and shoe leather with the slightest hint of dark dried berries and a whiff of port on the nose. Subtle and restrained on the palate. Still has a bit of tannin left rounding out the cheeks. A brief chill in the refrigerator seemed to resuscitate it. For what it's worth, at first sip my wife had a puzzled look on her face, by the last she was asking me for what was left in my glass...buy more..?
