Hanzell Vertical (Union Restaurant, Seattle.): Smoke and teaberry nose. Less acid, lingers with a good pull. Gravlax-y elements, umami. Develops Asian grocery on the nose. A bit of rust and fruit leather on the finish. Solidified very nicely with a great beat and harmony.

Hanzell Vertical (Seattle, WA): Mint and wintergreen explode from the glass. Actually, this is more like an After Eight dinner mint with a definite smell and taste of chocolate covered mints. A hint of soy (oxidation) creeps in over time. This does show nice grip and lively, tangy flavors albeit somewhat linear. Firm, masculine personality on the finish.
