  1974 Hanzell Pinot Noir - robust tannic structure that made me think less Pinot and more Cabernet but just filled with dark red Pinot fruit to go along with the fine grain dusty tannin. The fruit is long and weighty. The bouquet on the wine is all savory spices, spearmint and dark fruit. Absolutely captivating old California Pinot with plenty of life ahead of it.
