Delicious, approachable, mature and well rounded. Slight brick on the pour, gentle wife of rose and wood on the nose greetings of a fine wine experience on the palate. This wine is a beauty of enjoyment, gentle minerality, slight note of menthol with dried fruits, super appealing to all.

Ceretto Wine Club in NYC (Il Gattopardo): From a magnum. One of the better wines of the evening and very nice of the estate to share it. I don't know much about 2013 barolo but this does seem to be in a comfortable drinking space. More floral and kindof a potpourri style. Very elegant. A background of red fruits. Lovely wine. Many years to go but enjoyable now too.

Piedmont themed dinner. Light garnet color, transluscent. Expressive nose of rose petals, cherry, tar, good complexity here. The wine enters the palate fresh, elegant and light as the translucent color suggests, then, no surprise the young Nebbiolo tannins punch you during the finish. This has a lot of potential once those tannins tame to be a great, elegant Barolo. I like this lighter elegant styled Baroli much more than the sturdy ones. Cellar this till 2028 and you will have a winner. 95-96

Good. Not something I'm personally drawn to, but it's young still. Perhaps in 5-7 years, after more thorough integration, the wine will offer more complexity, more harmony. Others liked this more than I did - for all of our sakes, I wish that this had been served blind. I hate labels. For the style, it's good, a nice wine with a bit of something for lots of different palates, but it's not a standout. Not today, anyway. recommended if the price is right.

Return to Piemonte!; 11/25/2021-12/4/2021 (Castello di Sinio, Alba, other various locations): First bottle was just slightly off but this one was really lovely. Fresher in style with this very clean and precise structure. Exactly my style of wine.
