Should have decanted as this had a very closed nose which never really opened up, primarily blackberry. Silky smooth palate of ripe cherry flavors with a touch of spice. Nearly complete tannic integration. Full bodied with a rich and thick mouthfeel. Medium long finish without any excess heat. Would have rated outstanding except for the poor nose. Throws a bit of sediment at the end. Paired nicely with roasted lamb chops, broiled potatoes and candied carrots.

SMELL: Very aromatic. Lots of dark fruit and a little bit of dirt/soil. Hint of rhubarb, cedar, and a small amount of pepper. TASTE: Very bodied, slightly tannic wine. Likely would have lasted a couple more years. Mouth-watering fruit with a very long finish. A great wine paired with the pot roast.

Savoury, spicey plush red fruit long length and fine powdery tannins - very good and still room for some improvement

light purple, leather and spice dominate with plenty of acidity, light bodied with only 12.5% alcohol making easy drinking.
