Expected this to be dead, but it's still showing intense fruit: blackberry and black olive, with a hint of raspberry. Displays the smoothness one expects from McLaren Vale Shiraz, combined with a kick of rough, black, tannic fruit (from the Padthaway grapes?). Tasted much worse after a few hours in a decanter.
