Friday Group Brown Bag Tasting (J&J's): Double blind Deep youthful color. Aromas of chocolate, boysenberry, plum and forest floor. Slightly riper dark fruit than I expected with a subtle raisin tone, along with chocolate and soy. Chewy tannins. Nice. (J&J)

From half bottle. Double decanted four hours before service. Very dark red. Mild tannins and acidity. Good fruit showing. Easy to drink now with lots of air. Has at least 10 years left in it, probably more.

Full bodied wine that goes a bit over to medium body. Most black fruit, but also hint of some red fruit. High in tannins. This was just a taste of one bottle. I am looking forward to taste this wine again in some years(12+).

Medium/full bodied splash of juicy, cassis made even better with cedar and tobacco notes. There is depth on the mid palate and a juicy, dark currant finish. This is perfect to drink while waiting for its big brother Chateau Lynch Bages to come around.

Austere, red fruits, pencil lead, tar notes, with nice mouth feel. Quite medium bodied. Pass.
