  I agree with the last note. This is slightly austere. It seems the tannin is winning in the race and the fruit is having a hard time catching up. That said, both nose and palate seem underdeveloped to me. There's barely any tertiaries. It's mostly plum and blackberry with hints of herbs. Acid is medium and finish is brief. Not crazy about it but serviceable.

  Love the leafy tobacco and cedar notes. Fruit is somewhat tertiary and mature. Tannins are rather prominent and somewhat austere on the finish—but this isn’t particularly noticeable with steak and much softer on night 2. Solid somewhat classic bdx but needs food to take the tannins for sure. I would worry this will dry out in the near term and think it’s in a good drinking window.

  Not sure I like where this has evolved. To me dill and oak note dominate the nose. Monolithic black fruit on the palate, chunky tannins. Gained some lift and spice with air. Not a lot of nuance or depth. Will likely hold my other bottles and hope for better day.
  Got worse on night 2. Dry angular tannins, quite bitter. I think its best days are in the past. Have 2 more bottle.

  Shows Pauillac power and density yet this is agile and lively. Ripe nose of red and black fruit, licorice, sweet tobacco, and baking spices. Touches of cloves and allspice. Full bodied, savory, and juicy, the palate is structured and backed by ample tannin and a nice cut. Another year in bottle should do it good.

  Nose had a bit of red fruit, wasn't too open. Light/Medium bodied, medium high acidity, overall easy to drink but not much complexity. Relatively short finish.
