great QPR. had at the end of a decadent evening of food and wine with a pecan pie and vanilla ice cream and whip cream. cinnamon, honey apple with good crisp acidity. perhaps a tad lighter bodies than a sauternes but at that point in the evening, it was perfect for what we wanted

Marmalade, creme pat and some hints of Cointreau on pouring. With air and desert it grows more layers. Some Bakewell notes and hints of butterscotch. A little spearmint and a couple of PPM of orange oil. Lovely stuff.

From a 750. Purchased on release and stored in a temp and humidity controlled cellar. No ullage. Bottle appeared pristine. Cork split near the bottom and was "stuck" in the neck. Came out in pieces. Otherwise the cork looked and felt perfect. Strained debris. Deep amber to orange gold in color. Crystal clear. Nose of soft ripe fruits; apricot, peach and nectarine. Similar flavors in the mouth. Nice acidity. Moderately long finish. I did not get much more than a wisp of botrytis. Not much "raciness". Don't recall earlier notes to know if it had it and it's now muted. Didn't get tropical fruits either. Right on the edge of VG+. Just not enough complexity for my taste. Nonetheless; paired well with the almond torte topped with fresh navel, and "raspberry", oranges that my daughter brought. Very serviceable if not compelling.

Excellent - distinctly Barsac, not overly sweet/cloying but very full bodied

Very good indeed! Vigorous and vibrant - perhaps at its peak, but will keep for absolutely ages.
