Kraters for the trenchermen (Les 2 Garçons): A decent rather than excellent Sauternes. Deep, creamy and spicy, with some lovely orange blossom, but without the energy and charisma of the preceding wine.

Consistent with previous bottle. Still plenty of acidity but not really gaining much complexity or flavors at this point and finish is on the shorter side. Would likely drink up if holding any.

Opened this bottle at Chui Huay Lim Teochew Cuisine to celebrate my father's birthday.
Deep gold in colour. Rich, creamy nose and texture with honey, apricot, almond, figs, and dried prunes. Smooth, viscous and satisfying.
Sings in great harmony and low pitch. Almost lyrical. Went perfectly well with the dessert.

Very nice. Quince paste, toasted almonds, bergamot, dried figs. Not overtly sweet. At a good place now, and can likely last a few more years.

Tasted blind. Very orange color. Nose of safron with apricot. Good sweetness and acidity interplay but not very complex.
