Deep ruby. Pronounced. Medium body/ alcohol. Medium tannin, soft. Fresh and crunchy Red fruit, sweet spice, hints of vanilla and cloves. Long. Complex and perfectly balanced. Generous without being rich, round without being wide. Outstanding.

I riskily bought just one, to get an idea of what this is. I did have a 2016 stocked up but it felt more appropriate to try the current vintage if we were to try anything. Before we got the opportunity to drink, the wine started to get scarce here in Sweden (where, as you may know, Systembolaget is the only vendor permitted to buy and sell alcohol) , but I decided to open our single bottle anyway.
I found it packed, and balanced when it came to the fine-grain tannins and acidity, but really closed and lacking vigour when it comes to fruit. So this was absolutely the real deal but not ready to drink, not even after two days, although of course there was some fruitiness stirring by then. So today I was happy to see that some bottles were available again (still 47 at this very moment) even though it was marked ”sold out” a few days ago, so I could order one more and hopefully try it again in 10 years, unless covid-29 has deprived me of my sensory functions then.

This fruitbomb had calmed down and showed a lot of secondary notes. And saved half over night and boy - second day it was magnificent! 95!

Good tannins and acid, but closed fruit. Better day two, but need more time. I’ll try next bottle 2025.
