Extremely young, very classic left bank in tannins, fruit and balance. Barnyard, blue fruits, integrated oak at this stage (50% new). This can age much longer. This surprised on the upside for sure.

Showed beautiful fruit but also showed a rapid decline in the glass (more than likely due to poor storage from Delta Fijne Wijnen, there wines have a very high flawed %).

South Africa in Hampshire (Winchester): Clearly more mature than the 18 which preceded it - some bricking, more decay on the forest floor nose and that kind of "ready brek glow" surrounding the wine which I associate with aged Cab Franc. This is good stuff but I don't think it's going to get much better - will be interesting to see how the 18 is at this age, my sense is that it will still be on the uplsope.

Blackcurrants, tobacco, cedar wood, gravel. Great balance and very nice. Had with grilled tenderloin, coleslaw and insalata caprese. This was exquisite, great pairing and a great wine.

Excellent wine, possibly nearing peak performance. Balance is spot on.
