  opened up day 2 as others mentioned - much brighter acidity/fruit dimension than when first opened. tannins still showing youth, medium finish only.

  Opened the bottle 30 minutes ago, the aroma of cedar, coal and cassis takes flight, dry and lean with muscular stature, flavors of plum, blackberry and tobacco notes emerge and delight, immensely elegant, structured to age a bit but it is drinking well now

  Left this open overnight in the cellar to air a bit. Well worth it. More black cherry in color than red or purple, it is nonetheless quite opaque. The nose (today) is quite dazzling, showing a complex range of purple flowers, cassis and plum. Just a tad hollow in the mouth, it still sports very good flavor for a $25 (at Costco) wine, and would easily best the vast majority of CA cabs in this price range. It is definitely a Bordeaux in the more classic style, showing restraint and some power. Certainly one could age this but I don't know if the fruit is enough to make for old bones. And why bother?? With a good decant, you can enjoy this now and not tempt the gods of fate. 5-13-15-8: 91/100.
