Drunk mostly with Bruce, Diane, Dean and Deb last night; note is from what remained the next day. Opaque ruby. Nice fruit in the nose, and I do pick up a bit of the (good) green component Bruce mentioned last night. Much more elegant and less powerful mouthfeel than I would have expected at age 6. Certainly very good, but I expected more. 5-13-17-8: 93/100.

Dark opaque ruby. Initially tons of oak and vanilla on the nose but thankfully blows out after a short decant. Just your classic Napa profile with cassis, currants, vanilla, thyme. Palate has a surprising touch of acidity, well balanced, red/dark fruited. Finishes long with softened tannins. Honestly, this is a little boring, but obviously high quality.

The wine is dark ruby colored, opaque. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle, decanted for 2 hours. It smells like blueberry and raspberry, with vanilla notes. on the palate, blueberry, mineral and light toast. The body is medium/full, with medium tannin. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity, and is well balanced. A winner from Beringer, could spend another 3 years in bottle, but is lovely now.
